Music Ministry Music is a vital and growing part of Trinity’s worship life, as we seek a closer relationship with God and neighbor by lifting our voices in praise. Hymns and service music are drawn from The Hymnal 1982, as well as current supplemental materials. The Senior Choir, rehearsing Thursday evenings, provides anthems in the Anglican tradition and contemporary selections on Sundays during the academic year as well as an occasional Choral Evensong. The Bell Choir, composed of 12 to 14 adults, rehearses on Monday evenings throughout the academic year and plays seasonally at Christmas and Easter and Trinity Sunday. From time to time Trinity enjoys and is blessed with its own and guest voice soloists and musicians of trombone, violin, guitar and other fare.
The Reivers (ree-vers) Band adds an informal touch of gospel blend with folk as accompanists and instrumentalists in worship.Golden oldies, mellow ballads and lively contemporary secular and sacred music flow out of the fingers and voices of these silver-haired guitarists and drummer on Trinity’s stage and in Trinity Church. To meet up, join, hire, or enjoy this Americana folk, folk rock, blues, classic rock group, contact Pat, Mike, Tod or Bruce at 781-4848, 892-4169, 686-6161. Two to three times a year the Sunday School and Nursery share in the church worship with pageant, musical fun and joy at worship under the direction of Jr. Choir Director, Cathy LaBerge and her friends. For information about joining the Senior Choir, contact Robert Sabourin, Organist/Choir Director at sabourinrobert@sbcglobal.net, and for the Bell Choir contact Robert Reif, Bell Choir Director at 894-0918. |
